The 2024 EVLS Prague Pro will take place this Sunday in Prague, Czech Republic, drawing more attention than ever. Indeed, the event has become a major fixture on the bodybuilding calendar, especially after the Olympia. This year, the Men’s Open competition features top-tier talent, promising an exciting showdown. As a result, fans and competitors alike are eager to see how the event unfolds with so many big names in the lineup.

Additionally, Chris Bumstead will headline the main event, marking his debut in Men’s Open. Furthermore, after winning his sixth consecutive Classic Physique title at the 2024 Olympia, Bumstead announced his retirement from the division. However, he has expressed interest in Open competition shortly after. Consequently, the Prague Pro provides the perfect opportunity for his transition. Yet, Bumstead will face stiff competition, with Martin Fitzwater as a clear favorite following his strong fourth-place finish at the Olympia. In addition, Shaun Clarida, a former 212 competitor, will also join the mix, adding another layer of intrigue.

Furthermore, the competition in Prague will be fierce. Notably, Bumstead’s arrival in Men’s Open adds a new dynamic to the event, with multiple athletes eager to challenge his dominance. Moreover, with Fitzwater and Clarida in the mix, the contest promises to be one of the most thrilling post-Olympia shows. Therefore, each athlete will be determined to claim victory, making for an unpredictable and exciting battle on stage.

Meanwhile, fans can catch all the action via a pay-per-view live feed. Moreover, the finals will be available for $15.76, accessible through the promoter’s website. Lastly, this option allows viewers to watch the biggest names in bodybuilding compete for the title. Ultimately, it ensures an unforgettable experience for those tuning in.

2024 EVLS Prague Pro Bodybuilding Official Preview

Men’s Open Bodybuilders To Watch Out

Chris Bumstead

Chris Bumstead has not yet competed in the Men’s Open division at a professional show. Furthermore, although he participated in amateur events years ago, this will be his first major challenge in the category. Notably, Bumstead dominated the Classic Physique division from 2019 until his recent retirement announcement. However, he has been candid about his expectations heading into Prague, admitting that he doesn’t expect to win. Still, if he does, he will secure a spot at the 2025 Mr. Olympia.

Would Bumstead consider returning to the Olympia in the Open category? He hasn’t fully committed, but he hasn’t ruled it out either in recent interviews. Moreover, Bumstead has built one of the most prominent profiles in bodybuilding, both on and off the stage. Consequently, fans are eagerly anticipating his debut performance in Men’s Open this weekend.

Martin Fitzwater

Martin Fitzwater has rapidly established himself as one of the top contenders in bodybuilding. However, his performance at the 2024 New York Pro impressed many, especially his head-to-head battle with Nick Walker. Notably, while Fitzwater was considered a favorite, he ended up finishing as the runner-up. Following that, Fitzwater focused on preparing for the Olympia, where he finished in the top five.

Moreover, Fitzwater went up against some of the best in the world, including Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan. However, despite the fierce competition, he managed to narrowly secure a top-three finish. Lastly, as a result, Fitzwater is now aiming to qualify for the 2025 Olympia early, and the Prague Pro could be his opportunity to do so.

Shaun Clarida

Shaun Clarida has already made a name for himself in the Men’s Open division. Furthermore, his victory at the 2021 Legion Sports Fest Pro earned him an Olympia qualification that year. However, Clarida decided to stay in Men’s 212, hoping to regain his title. He returned to the Open division at the 2023 Arnold Classic, where he placed fifth.

Clarida has been the runner-up to Keone Pearson in the past two Olympia competitions in the 212 division. This time, he’ll take the stage alongside other top competitors, including Fitzwater and Bumstead. Thus, the 2024 Prague Pro will mark his first major appearance in Men’s Open, and it promises to be an exciting contest.
