Individual Events Highlights

Dickies Triplet

The five-round, three-segment workout demanded careful pacing and strategy for a strong result. Additionally, transitions between segments became crucial, as athletes could gain or lose valuable time based on efficiency. Despite the absence of complex exercises, the repetition over multiple rounds led to rapid fatigue, challenging even the fittest competitors.

5 rounds for time:

  • 175-meter run
  • 12 toes-to-bars
  • 8 alternating dumbbell snatches (70/100 lb)

Men’s Results

After finishing last in a similar event the previous year, Jayson Hopper worked hard to address his weaknesses. When the Dickies Triplet appeared at the 2024 CrossFit Games, Hopper stunned everyone by winning the event with a time of 7:04.19, ahead of several top competitors.

Hopper’s victory was hard-fought, as he had to fend off a fierce challenge from James Sprague. Final 2421, Final 1815

The final event of the 2024 CrossFit Games was a high-stakes 2-in-1 workout, offering double points. Furthermore, it was divided into two segments: ‘Final 2421’ and ‘Final 1815’. Additionally, athletes had just two minutes of rest between the two challenging sections. Consequently, competitors needed to manage their recovery time effectively to excel.

Event 9: Final 2421

The first of the two events emphasized thrusters and chest-to-bar pull-ups, targeting both upper and lower body muscles. Consequently, athletes needed to engage multiple muscle groups effectively. Moreover, this focus ensured a comprehensive workout, testing their overall strength and endurance.

For time:

  • 24 thrusters (65/95 lb)
  • 24 chest-to-bar pull-ups
  • 80-foot yoke carry (245/425 lb)
  • 21 chest-to-bar pull-ups
  • 21 thrusters

Rest 2 minutes, then

Event 10: Final 1815

The second part of the workout resembled the first but posed a greater challenge. Moreover, thrusters and Yoke Carries were performed with heavier weights, amplifying the difficulty. Furthermore, athletes had to tackle muscle-ups instead of pull-ups, adding to the intensity.

  • 18 thrusters (95/135 lb)
  • 18 bar muscle-ups
  • 80-foot yoke carry (345/525 lb)
  • 15 bar muscle-ups
  • 15 thrusters

Additionally, athletes had to complete 80 synchronized deadlifts between each push.

For time:

  • 120-foot Snail push (720 lb)
