The 2024 CrossFit Europe Semifinal took place from May 17-19 at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines. Furthermore, as one of the two competitions during the first week of the 2024 CrossFit Semifinals, it met all expectations. However, after three days of intense competition, Lazar Đukić and Laura Horvath emerged victorious.

In addition, The event featured one of the strongest rosters in the entire Semifinals stage. Moreover, with significant qualifying spots for the CrossFit Games at stake, the competition was fierce. Furthermore, the top 10 men and women, as well as the top 8 teams, earned their places at the Games.

2024 CrossFit Europe Semifinal Official Results

Men

In a thrilling showdown for the top spot in the men’s division, Lazar Đukić and Jelle Hoste emerged as the primary contenders. However, as tension mounted, the ultimate victor was determined in the final event, with Lazar securing the win. Also, his total point tally of 437 points narrowly edged out Jelle Hoste by a mere 18 points, solidifying his triumph in the competition.

  12. Luka Vunjak — 300 points
  13. Calum Clements — 284 points
  14. Michael Smith — 268 points

Women

Laura Horvath kicked off her performance with a seventh-place finish in the initial event, marking her lowest placing throughout the competition. However, she swiftly rebounded, consistently securing top-three finishes in subsequent events, ultimately clinching first place with notable ease.

Additionally, Gabriela Migala emerged as a formidable competitor, consistently challenging Laura Horvath for the top position in each event. However, despite her strong performance, a 10th-place finish in the final event of the 2024 CrossFit Europe Semifinal cost her valuable points. Nevertheless, her second-place finish was a commendable achievement.

Two teams from Sweden distinguished themselves at the 2024 CrossFit Europe Semifinal by achieving or surpassing a remarkable 400-point threshold. Notably, CrossFit Prestanda Kriger emerged as the more dominant force. Also, consistently securing impressive rankings, with no placement lower than 6th across all events.

The initial phase of the 2024 CrossFit Semifinals has drawn to a close, with two weeks remaining in the competition. Moreover, five additional semifinal events are scheduled, offering more opportunities for athletes to secure qualification for the CrossFit Games.
