The 60th anniversary of Joe Weider’s Fitness and Performance Olympia Weekend takes place from October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Competitors in the 2024 Classic Physique Olympia category gathered for prejudging on Saturday morning, October 12, at 9:30 a.m. Inside the Las Vegas Convention Center, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. Chris Bumstead, Urs Kalecinski, and Mike Sommerfeld lead the pack as we approach tonight’s finals.
Chris Bumstead has dominated the Classic Physique division since he took the title from Breon Ansley in 2019. Last year, he successfully defended his title despite a lat tear, outpacing strong contender Ramon Queiroz. Rumors about his retirement have circulated, but ‘Cbum’ showed up eager to present his best physique yet. His determination was evident as he prepared for the competition.
During prejudging, Bumstead showcased a shredded physique. This solidified his position as the favorite for center stage. He appeared improved from the 2023 Olympia, highlighting new details in his shoulders, hamstrings, and back. His hard work and dedication were clear to all who watched.
Urs Kalecinski captivated the audience with his capped delts, impressive X-frame, and slim waist. His presentation drew cheers from the crowd. Meanwhile, Mike Sommerfeld also delivered a career-best look throughout the callouts. Both competitors raised the stakes for the finals.
Surprisingly, Ramon Queiroz and Wesley Vissers did not make it into the final callout. Their absence raised eyebrows, given their strong performances in past competitions. Consequently, the competition is fierce, and ‘Cbum’ faces a challenging finals ahead. Excitement builds as fans await the outcome.
