- Michael Simons: Weight 10, 40 seconds
- Robrecht Oostelbos: Weight nine, 65 seconds
The Gouden Grip Medley tested grip strength and stamina using weights ranging from 17.5 to 25 kilograms. Furthermore, in just 56 seconds, Jeroen van de Wateringen completed all 12 weights, securing the top spot. Similarly, Yannick Dominicus matched the feat but needed only 50 seconds, highlighting his speed.
However, Ruben Tissink also completed all 12 weights but took a full 60 seconds. Meanwhile, Michael Simons struggled to keep pace, managing 10 weights in 40 seconds. On the other hand, Robrecht Oostelbos completed nine weights in 65 seconds, reflecting the difficulty of this event.

- Robrecht Oostelbos: One stone, One point
The Stone Medley required athletes to lift three stones weighing 64, 98, and 118 kilograms in under 90 seconds. From the outset, Jeroen van de Wateringen and Yannick Dominicus displayed impressive strength, tying for first with all three stones lifted. Notably, their performances highlighted their ability to handle both power and speed under pressure.
In contrast, Michael Simons also completed all three stones but fell short of the leaders with six points. Meanwhile, Ruben Tissink managed to lift all three stones as well but struggled with speed, earning just two points. At the bottom of the leaderboard, Robrecht Oostelbos lifted only one stone, which left him in last place for the event.

Loading Race

The Loading Race challenged competitors to load five heavy implements ranging from 80 to 120 kilograms within 90 seconds. Leading the pack, van de Wateringen completed the race in just 58 seconds, showcasing his exceptional speed and endurance. Close behind, Michael Simons finished all five implements in 69 seconds, securing second place.
Meanwhile, Ruben Tissink loaded four implements in 44 seconds, beating Yannick Dominicus, who also completed four but took 47 seconds. At the back of the field, Robrecht Oostelbos struggled with the time limit, loading four implements in 77 seconds. Despite these efforts, van de Wateringen’s dominance continued to solidify his lead.
Ultimately, the Loading Race added another layer of intensity to the competition. While Simons gained some ground, van de Wateringen’s unmatched speed kept him firmly in control. Clearly, his performance in this event underscored his all-around strongman abilities.
Yoke for Time
- Jeroen van de Wateringen: 15 seconds
- Michael Simons: 20 seconds
- Ruben Tissink: 21.41 seconds
- Robrecht Oostelbos: 24.3 seconds
- Yannick Dominicus: 33 seconds
The Yoke for Time demanded explosive strength and stability, with athletes carrying a 300-kilogram yoke over two 10-meter lengths. Once again, van de Wateringen proved his prowess, completing the course in just 15 seconds. Following him, Michael Simons clocked in at 20 seconds, earning a solid second-place finish.
In third, Ruben Tissink completed the course in 21.41 seconds, narrowly edging out Robrecht Oostelbos, who finished in 24.3 seconds. At the bottom, Yannick Dominicus lagged behind, finishing the course in 33 seconds, which impacted his overall standing. Despite his earlier performances, this event highlighted his struggles with heavier implements.
As the final event unfolded, van de Wateringen’s victory became undeniable. With each passing challenge, his dominance over the field grew clearer. Ultimately, his consistency across all events earned him a well-deserved first-place finish.
