The competition structure involves both individual and team events, presenting an intricate challenge for captains Hall and Licis in team selection. Overview of Team Rosters
Team UK
United Kingdom: A Lineup of Legends
Leading Team UK is captain Eddie Hall, a towering figure in the history of Strongman. Hall rocketed to fame after clinching the 2017 World’s Strongest Man title and being the first to deadlift 500 kilograms (1,102.3 pounds) in 2016.
In the Company of Champions
Among the team is Tom Stoltman, a two-time World’s Strongest Man champion, arguably the standout athlete in the lineup. Joining him is his brother, Luke Stoltman, celebrated for his victory in the 2021 Europe’s Strongest Man competition.
An Ensemble of Strength
Filling the remaining men’s spots are Mark Felix and Gavin Bilton. Felix, a strongman legend, is recognized for his remarkable grip strength. Bilton, recently claiming his first international victory, is currently in the peak form of his career.
A Force of Women Warriors
The women’s faction of Team UK is as formidable as its men’s. The roster includes Donna Moore, a three-time World’s Strongest Woman, and Andrea Thompson, another World’s Strongest Woman champion known for her overhead strength, with a past Log Lift World Record to her name.
Powerful Additions to the Lineup
Team UK also includes Lucy Underdown, the world’s top female deadlifter, participating in the 2023 World’s Strongest Nation competition. Rounding off the team is Rebecca Roberts, the 2021 World’s Strongest Woman and the newly crowned 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman.

Betting on Current Form
Unlike Team UK’s approach of leveraging historical strengths, Team USA has strategically chosen athletes who are currently in top form. Trey Mitchell, a 2x Shaw Classic champion and the 2023 North America’s Strongest Man, is a prominent figure in this lineup. Another athlete in peak condition is Evan Singleton, who recently surpassed two WSM champions to win the 2023 Giants Live Strongman Classic.
Additional Male Strengths
Joining these strongmen are Kevin Faires, renowned as the “Grip King,” and Spenser Remick, who earned his spot on this grand stage by winning the 2022 Official Strongman Games.
A Showcase of Women’s Power
The women’s contingent of Team USA is equally impressive. Victoria Long, a 2x Arnold Strongwoman Classic champion, and Inez Carrasquillo, the recent setter of a new Log Lift World Record, are among the team’s strongwomen.
Record-Breakers and Champions
Returning to Team USA is Gabi Dixson, fresh from her exceptional performance at the 2022 World’s Strongest Nation competition. During the event, Dixson’s Hercules Hold outlasted all competitors except for Mark Felix. The last, but by no means least, is Nadia Stowers, the two-time U82KG World’s Strongest Woman.
Promising a Spectacle of Strength
With no apparent weak links in either team, the 2023 World’s Strongest Nation competition is gearing up to be a showcase of some of the world’s most formidable athletes. After last year’s captivating event, this year’s competition, now that the athletes and audience know what to expect, is set to be even more thrilling.
